Lakrids by Bülow marks World Chocolate Day with new organic Slow Crafted series

Danish-based gourmet liquorice brad Lakrids by Bülow has selected World Chocolate Day to unveil its latest organic Slow Crafted product range, presented in premium, recycled glass packaging, writes Neill Barston.

As the business explained to Confectionery Production, its latest offering is based on the original recipe devised by company founder Johan Bülow, who created the company 15 years ago this week.

According to the firm, its latest line is gently cooked in an open batch for four hours and hand crafted creating a rich caramel-like texture of the liquorice, unlike any other.

Commenting on its release, the company said: “After years of refinement, it is now made with carefully selected, organic ingredients. The liquorice is cooked in an open batch for four hours and hand crafted creating a caramellike texture of the liquorice. Unrushed. Uncompromised.”

The collection introduces three varieties of chocolate coated liquorice, including Mango vanilla, Caramel Date, Dark Truffle, as well as a limited edition anniversary variety.
