Jolly Rancher releases latest “epic taste experience” ropes series

The US-based Jolly Rancher series has unveiled its latest innovation in the form of its new Ropes, which have been created to add a punch of bold fruit flavour and build upon the series existing range of flavours, writes Neill Barston.

Notably, the new ranges offers unique, dual-flavour packs, with each individual item of confectionery being stuffed with flavour from the inner filling to the outer layer, ensuring what the company describes as “an epic taste experience.”

Jolly Rancher Ropes are set to be made available in Green Apple and Watermelon, as well as Blue Raspberry and Cherry, with the business gaining notable market share as a brand of the Hershey Company, which has seen the series continue to gain in popularity. Available now, the new series is offered in 6 and 10 oz bags at retailers nationwide and online.

The hard candy series has historically gained a strong following in its native America, though the brand can now be found further afield including in the UK, as a number of independent and wholesale confectionery businesses move to stock the much-favoured brand.

Notably, the brand can trace its history back to the late 1940s, founded by Bill and Dorothy Harmsen, selecting a name that suggested a friendly Western company. The company was later acquired in the 1990s by Hershey, with production of the brand moving to different locations, including production shifting to Quebec, Canada in 2014.

“If you thought you loved Jolly Rancher before, just wait until you try Jolly Rancher Ropes!” explained Danielle Ford, Sr Brand Manager of Jolly Rancher, which  “We know this new innovation will quickly become a fan favorite among younger consumers. Bringing our impossibly fruity flavors to a deliciously chewy rope form delivers an unbeatable combination.”
