Ferrara taps into Christmas TikTok candy salad craze

A true sense of festive fun is being delivered by the Ferrara confectionery group, as it engages in the latest TikTok craze of ‘candy salads’ for its Christmas campaign, reports Neill Barston.
As the business acknowledged, the social media platform has seen an explosion of interest from younger generations eager to soak up new taste experience by combining seasonal favourites.
Tapping into this trend – which has seen an immense tally of three billion hits and counting for candy salads, the company has created its first ever TikTok shop, in which brand fans can combine Nerds, Frosty Gummy Clusters, SweeTARTS Twisted Holiday Punch Ropes, Trolli Sour Brite Abominable Snowmen, Brach’s Holiday Soft Jellies, and mini peppermint candy canes to name but a few.
What’s more, its candy salad kit features some smart additions including a limited-edition knit winter hat, sleek glass jar, and festive stickers, it has everything you need to create the ultimate candy salad for the holidays.
As the business noted, since launching in the US last September, the number of people shopping on TikTok Shop each month has nearly tripled, reflecting strong demand and vibrant activity on the platform. A majority of purchases come from existing customers in 2024 (81.3%), so this candy salad kit is perfectly timed to leverage shifting shopping preferences.
