A fine festive celebration for Prestat beckons with royal warrant from King Charles III

London-based UK luxury chocolate business, Prestat is in true celebratory Christmas mood this week, after gaining news of a renewed Royal Warrant, bestowed by His Majesty King Charles III, writes Neill Barston.

The premium brand, which is said to have inspired Roald Dahl to write Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, has now gained more than a century of manufacturing experience serving the British confectionery market.

It has been favoured by a wide array of celebrities down the generations, and has notably been beloved of the British Royal Family, including the late Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II, for whom the company delivered specially commissioned Easter Eggs. Both members of the royal household granted Royal Warrants to the esteemed chocolate maker – joining a select group of businesses across industries to gain royal approval for their respective industries.

Since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the business’s status as royal warrant holders was effectively in limbo, until King Charles has now granted the latest mark of trading excellence upon the company. Having passed into independent hands in recent periods, the company was bought by the Italian coffee group, Illy, and has undergone a marked revival as production continues apace at its London facilities.

As previously reported, the company has just released its latest Christmas series of confectionery, and has warmly welcomed its latest royal recognition. Commenting, the company believed it underlined its commitment to producing quality confectionery.

It said; “This marks nearly 50 years of Royal Warrants awarded to Prestat by three generations of the British Royal Family: The Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and now King Charles III. It’s a proud tradition that reflects our dedication to creating the finest chocolates since 1902. We’re honoured by this recognition and grateful to our customers for their continued support. Here’s to crafting chocolates that bring joy for generations to come!”
