Freddi seeks inspiration from Baileys flavouring for key ISM launch

Italy’s Freddi Dolciaria is set to display a number of innovations for this year’s ISM in Cologne, including a stand-out offering in the form of its Baileys Irish Cream Cake, writes Neill Barston.

The cocoa coated bar cake with Bailey flavoured filling offers a fine taste fusion of flavours in mini-cake format. It is covered with rich and gourmand cocoa and, deep filling made with the renowned Irish creme flavouring.

As the company explained, the series, which is available in limited countries, has been designed to deliver an innovative crunchy coating, and elevates its texture and taste appeal. It features a distinct layer of cocoa beneath the coating to serve up a unique sweet treat.

The range is available in packs of 195g – 5×39, individually wrapped cakes in printed pack, produced in eco-friendly cardboard. It is also being offered in a 390g pack  – 10x39g, individually wrapped cakes in printed pack, featuring packaging in recyclable flowpack.

Furthermore, the company is set to deliver a number of other key innovations during ISM. Its Stars Collection line, dedicated to the Seasonal Events during the year now offers eight products. All Roll Cakes have a packaging with a little handle, designed as a gifting box.

In addition, Freddi is releasing its Dolcetto series, a special line of soft mini-cakes with only 98 kcal per cake. It has been devised as a snack suitable for any time of the day, and it is lactose free. It features eight Mini-cakes x 25g each with a soft heart of delicious and creamy filling available in 5 flavours: Cocoa, Apricot, Cherry, Strawberry and Vanilla.  As the company noted, its vibrant design has been created for maximum shelf appeal.
