Fritsch appoints new managing director of sales for key global bakery operations

Fritsch Bakery Technologies has named Dr Nico Haßmann as its new managing director of sales to oversee its international operations.

The 58 year-old gains a promotion from his present role as Commercial Managing Director, which he took up on an interim basis and has made great progress, according to the business. 

“During his time as interim Managing Director, Dr Haßmann has shown great sensitivity and leadership skills, as well as initiating important projects at Fritsch that will help us achieve our strategic goals,” says Dr Tobias Richter, Director and CSO of the MULTIVAC Group.

“We are therefore very pleased, that we have been able to persuade Dr Haßmann to take over this task on a permanent basis. Fritsch is a strategically important Business Unit for us, and we see great potential for the entire Fritsch product range throughout our subsidiaries.”

Dr Nico Haßmann has been employed at the Multivac Group since February 2020, and he was until recently Executive Vice President for Subsidiary Operations in Europe, and in this role he was responsible for the management and strategic development of the European subsidiaries.

He has many years of professional management experience in the international sales of machines and equipment. Dr Nico Haßmann studied Materials Science at the Technical University of Chemnitz, and he also gained his doctorate in the same subject at the RWTH University in Aachen. 02-25 FRITSCH has been part of the Multivac Group since 2019.

By 2027 there will also be new company headquarters at the industrial park in Iphofen (Franconia), where in future all the company’s activities in dough machine manufacture will be combined on one site.

The new building complex with a total area of approx. 20,000 square metres will accommodate production halls and assembly facilities, which will be equipped with the latest technology. The World of Bakery, Fritsch’s Technology Center, will also be relocated to the new site
